Spectrum Chloramine Carbon Blocks

The Spectrum Chloramine powder activated carbon block cartridges treat water by removing the bad taste, odour and appearance associated with chemical and organic pollutants.

These Chloramine cartridges filter out contaminants such as chlorine, chloramine, herbicides, solvents and dyes are all treated along with the removal of organics through absorption. They contain a food grade coconut carbon block with higher efficiency and capacity for the removal of chlorine, chloramine, chemical and organic taste, odour and appearance removal.

These Chloramine cartridges filter the water down to 1 micron and thus should be used in the last stage of filtration, ideally before a 5 micron PP Sediment Filter and a 5 Micron Fibre/Block cartridge to extend life. If not pre-filtering, these will block up quickly due to the 1 micron size.

Chlorine and Chloramine reduction statistics below has been tested at a Free Chlorine level of 2ppm and Chloramine level of 3ppm. Typical mains water can have 0.1 - 0.5 ppm Free Chlorine so expect these cartridges to last much much longer than figures gives.
